once again this company provides a highly detailed and minimally colored (yes, this is a good thing) representation of a mythical deity. In this case it was Cernunnos, the Celtic go mostly associated with the end of fall going into winter, and his death, only to then reborn in Spring. Thus there’s the obvious hands of Catholic missionaries at work, trying to turn this Celtic Irish but nearly Greek Bacchus into the rebirth of the God, i.e. Yeshua, aka Jesus (actually “Joshua” but try getting Christians to call Jesus by his proper name, confused by Greek translation, back to “Joshua,” you’ll gain no ground there) Yeshua remains the mistranslation of over 2000 (!?) years. Just as the “Jehovah’s” witnesses have mispronounced Yahweh (YHWH) as “Jehovah” and refuse to update their proper pronunciation of the biblical GOD (what Narcissistic weaklings).

Anyway, the rebirth of God at Christmas time where, when history is concerned, the counting or census that Joseph and Mary were going to was “actually” in August, not December during the horned God Cenunnos dies at the end of the year, but is then reborn. Things moved around by the missionaries for easier consumption by the heathens.

Any way you slice it, this is a rare (as in I’ve only ever found 4 actual physical representations of Cernunnos (including some t-shirts and two Halloween masks which I’ve purchased. So, once again, we have the brilliant geniuses of the Veronese small yet highly detailed and low priced images as the one in this review.)

To summaries; buy this, you won’t regret it!
