Our family loves this scented candle. We find that this large tumbler jar burns more evenly than the wide, squat jars. I wanted to send one to my son who is skiing in NSW, Australia for their winter season, but since it is Summer here in North America, I couldn’t find them in our grocery store, and even the Village Candle website did not have them in stock. 🙁
Amazon to the rescue, haha! He received his candle in about 8 days (wicked fast, I must say!) His UK, Swiss, Australian and Japanese roommates are now new fans of the scent, and his Canadian roommates feel right at home. He didn’t know that this tree/scent is rare outside the northeast in North America.
I think Village Candle generally makes a superior scented candle to the other popular one from New England. That company has gone downhill and uses too-small wicks in their jars, and much is wasted. Village Candle has, so far in the past 4 years since we’ve purchased them, been a much better value and their scents are far more “natural” and not cloying or fake.

Excellent, burns evenly and scent is so refreshing and already burned it for 40+ hrs. and still have 1/3 of candle left. I usually buy just Yankee candles but I will be buying more from Village as much better value.

I ordered the Village Candle Balsam Fir 26 oz and it arrived melted and deformed to one side (Looked like a Popsicle) with the lid open and 25% of it sticking out melted with green all over the place. I returned it because it was damaged and asked for it to be replaced with a new one. A week later, I received the EXACT SAME DAMAGED POPSICLE LOOKING CANDLE!!! This is definitely unacceptable and a terrible experience!

Love the aroma of this candle. Why then did I only rate this with only 4 stars? Received one last week and the jar was broken. Received the replacement today and it is very melted and is sitting at an angle at the top so you can’t see the wick enough to lite it. Don’t buy this one in the Arizona summer.

When I received them, they were in a good condition but there was a green liquid came out from the lids, it seems that it was the fir 🌲’s essence (smells like one) and when I opened the lids, they smell nice like fir. They reminded me of my Yankee Candle’s smell when I opened it the first time. I am yet to try to lid them up and smell them.

Great aroma. Makes the whole living, dining, kitchen area smell good using only one candle. Last a long time. I buy these for my home and give them to all my friends for Christmas gifts every year. They want their present from me early so their houses smell like Christmas even using an artificial tree. The cookie aroma is great year round but makes you want fresh baked cookies when you smell it. Aroma is strong but not overwhelming.

I could have spent the same amount of money on a gorgeous candle from Dusk that would have filled the room with a beautiful scent. Now I’m stuck with this expensive candle that people have actively asked me never to burn again.

Not sure the addition of a second wick is new for this brand but the additional wick is a welcomed improvement. No more uneven and unsightly wax build up along the sides of the jar. I also noticed a stronger scent this time around. Very pleased.

Village candles are a bargain. I really like the scent of the balsam fir. Watch for sale prices to get the best deals.

This is a reasonably good candle but it’s not the quality of a Yankee Candle. It does not last as long, it’s scent is in the upper 1/2 of the candle and it has 2 wicks, which I never liked and still do not.
The scent is great and ultra potent at first. It actually fills my1600 square foot home but after the candle burns 1/2 way through, the scent is done. Yankee candles have their scent all the way through to the near end.
This is a lesser knock off of a Yankee and often times costs more.
If you cannot find a Yankee at the right price, buy this one.
