I have 5 pets. One of our pets just passed and he was our 6th one. I used this toothpaste on 3 cats and 3 dogs. They didn’t mind the taste at all. However, I noticed when I used this more than 5 times a week they would end up with diarrhea. The size is small. I did notice a difference in their breath and because they didn’t mind the taste it was easy to use when brushing their teeth. It’s good quality just be aware they might end up with diarrhea.

I honestly didn’t look at the flavor when I bought this until it arrived, and surprise, it was poultry flavor. Yum!
Jokes aside, I almost returned it but decided to give it a try. Aside from vet dental cleanings, my 9 year old dog has never had her teeth brushed, so I figured the chicken flavor might make her think it’s a treat. It worked. She actually looks forward to it now.
The smell isn’t the best, but it is definitely a great start to her dental care journey. After just 3 days of consistent brushing, her breath has already improved. I selfishly want to switch to the vanilla mint for my own sake, but I would rather keep her thinking it’s a treat. 10/10 recommend.

This bright, white vanilla peppermint paste seems to be a big hit. The only downside to this container is that it gets kind of curmudgeonly when you get near the end. Its metal structure undoubtedly keeps the product fresh, but it gets very hard to manipulate near the end. I’m sure I’ve left a fair amount of unused product in there over the years because I couldn’t get to it. Still, my dogs always seem a little happier with clean, vanilla, mint flavored mouths. And a good price, here on Amazon.

This is the best toothpaste we have found. The enzymes help to continually break down the plaque. My dog Howard loves the mint flavor and a bonus is his breath smells great after! We’ve been brushing our dogs teeth since she was a pup so she doesn’t mind it the process and actually perks up when I bring the tooth brush over to her. Most dog toothpastes only come in chicken or peanut butter flavor but this one makes her breath smell minty fresh like toothpaste should. Which is an important since she sleeps in my bed and I don’t want to wake up to chicken dog breath. She tries to lick it up eagerly so I think she likes the taste too. When we first started using this there was an almost instant improvement in her breath which had been smelling like hot garbage. Her teeth stay clean for a while but we try to brush her teeth 3x a week. The consistency can be a little runnier than you’d expect and it’s easy to squeeze out too much. The texture is a slightly runnier white paste than you’ll normally find in human toothpaste. I wish it didn’t cost as much as it does. $14 for toothpaste seems ridiculous but it works, the ingredients are good and the doggo likes it. The tube can kink up weirdly and it’s impossible to twist it back to its shape so they could do with new packaging but the product itself is stellar.

Well, I feel stupid trying to brush my dog’s teeth. I also can’t stand the licking and smacking sounds. So I left it to the hubby, he’s much more patient than I am. Our dogs are raw fed so they only get raw bones to crunch on for plaque and tartar removal (as opposed to kibble scraping their teeth at every meal) so I assume that may be a contributor to their buildup. I have upped their bone chewing so maybe we won’t need to brush their teeth as often. Hubby worked on their teeth diligently until the toothpaste ran out (once every other day). We didn’t see much of a difference in breath odor, and their teeth pretty much looked the same. The only difference was the time taken out of the day to perform such a silly feeling task. Therefore, I can’t necessarily vouch for the efficacy of this product. It was sort of easy to use, corgis like anything they can consume. Tooth cleanliness didn’t seem to change much. Maybe this is more for dogs that eat a lot of kibble and therefore have extra buildup? Not sure. I’ll be exploring gut biome next.

It seems to work. My dog hates brushing his teeth but loves mint flavored things. I thought he would love this flavor, however, he does not. Maybe becuase its a mixture of vanilla and mint. I wish it was mint only.

I was very skeptical of this toothpaste for my dogs until my vet recommended it and gave me 2 samples. Its easy to use, my dogs love the taste and best of all, it really removes the plaques and tartar buildup . I will say the texture and consistency threw me off since i am normally use to white/blue toothpaste. Was not expecting it to be brown. Who knew that toothpaste could taste so good? I’ve been using this product in the vanilla flavor for years because I like the smell, but my both dogs happily accept it. That’s not been the case for other toothpastes I’ve tried. I believe that this nightly brushing is helping their dental health, as we keep getting a thumbs up from the vet. I also give them a dental chew daily, and sometimes put a VOHC dental rinse in their water bowls.
