The adorable and exquisite carnelian elephant I received is a lighter, orange-y butterscotch color, compared to this more red carnelian pendant.
It will appear more or less intensely pigmented at various times of the day and lighting. That’s true for everything, isn’t it?
Do you need courage to create and energy to follow through? This carnelian elephant will stand in front of the computer in the recording studio. 😉🎵
Otherwise, I’ve known people who love elephants who would probably love one of these. There are 17 different crystals to choose from, next time I meet an elephant lover.

These are even cuter in person. Absolutely perfect. I ordered for myself, but came back to get some last minute gifts because they are packaged in small velvet bags inside of cute little boxes that make them easy to give.

This elephant gemstone is very cute. Small, but if it’s meant to be a charm/healing crystal, it’s perfectly sized.
The shape and cuts are clear that this is an elephant, which is nice (sometimes gemstone figures wind up looking like a blob).
The stone is dark and polished shiny, but I’m not 100% certain it’s actual obsidian.
The one issue I came across is my stone has almost a white, waxy substance stuck in some of the cracks and crevices (see pic). I think this is some sort of polish or finish, but it’s odd and not ideal.

I chose African Bloodstone because it sounds like it’s from the same continent as elephants are. Of course there are elephants in Asia too. I have great love for these magnificent animals and am happy to see them carved in so many different gemstones. It would be fun to have an entire herd made from different ones. I would rather the grandchildren play with these than some of the other toys they have!
I like my little carving but wish the trunk had more definition. On the other side it’s impossible to make out that it’s an elephant, even though I knew! I suppose that is due to the stone’s natural markings. I can’t say I am crazy about the stone I received but I am glad to support any company that carves one of my very favorite animals in so many gemstones. It’s a great way to collect the different gemstones as well. I’m going to imagine my beautiful tiny herd in a myriad of colors!
