This thing is loud and perfect for freeing up floor space if you are a therapist or want privacy. It has more sounds than just white noise. Love the timer as I can set it for the day and then it goes until I’m ready to leave office. Would be easy to try travel with as all you need is a socket to plug it in. Welll worth the money! Great quality. Sometimes it will turn on by itself… but I think that’s a user error that I haven’t taken the time to correct.

It has kind of a memory settings, it keeps same sound at same volume level as last used.
Timer is very useful too.
However I returned it because of too loud sound of “power on”.
And also somehow it started to work alone at night, I didn’t know why or how I made it set up for start time. I thought there is only timer to switch off after sometime.

This has been perfect for my kids’ rooms. They love the rain sounds and turn it on by themselves every night so that our being up later doesn’t keep them awake. Solid product. Why not use an app you might ask? I love that it doesn’t monopolize an entire ridiculously expensive electronic device during use, stays in one predictable spot every night, plugs into an outlet instead of requiring batteries and cluttering up a horizontal surface. It also has no obnoxious operating light like a lot of stupid electronics. Simple, unobtrusive and great at what it does! Other companies need to take note.

I purchased two of these. One works as expected (sort of) and the other has a mind of its own. It turns itself on and off frequently; non dependent on the mode or any timer settings, etc…
Another thing is that this item not non-looping; I can hear the break in the majority of the different sounds. Looping white noise is generated from a pre-recorded sound file that plays on a continuous loop. While the loop may sound seamless to start – the repetition becomes apparent over time; leading to disruptions in the very environment meant to be soothing. The human brain is very attuned to patterns, and will begin to anticipate the repetition – pulling you out of sleep or breaking your focus.
However… I do realize that this item was not very expensive; so I wasn’t expecting the quality to be that great. I appreciate the compact size and the discrete look of the item. My favorite feature is that it plugs directly into the outlet so I don’t have to charge it – I try to avoid purchasing items that need to be charged because I just end up not using them.
I have sensory issues; and need something that I can completely tune out. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to tune out all but one of the noise tracks. That being said – in my opinion, the majority of the noise options are actually quite unpleasant to listen to; I have to flip through them super quickly because it hurts my head to listen to them for even a split second.
In conclusion… If you’re looking for something inexpensive, and don’t mind hearing a slight break in the loop, then this item would be sufficient.

I have a plugin white noise machine from “Adaptive Sound Technologies” that is unfortunately no longer sold (around the same price point as this). This one is plain and simple terrible (returning it). For starters, when you plug it in, the speaker isn’t on the front, but on the backside below the plug, so the speaker literally faces the wall.
The whole thing feels incredibly cheap, like something you would buy from temu for a couple of bucks. The sound output is crackly, which makes it more annoying to sleep with than nothing at all. There are no lights on it.

A few minutes of tinkering and we landed on one that sounded so similar to our home master bathroom fan we’ve been in the habit of turning on at night as white noise, we actually put this in the bedroom when we got home to replace that. So many sound and volume options you’ll find something that works for you.
PS I’m a psycho about little things like being able to hear a white noise loop start over, whether it be rain, static, whatever. There’s a little bit of that on some of the sounds, but the loops are long enough that it doesn’t bother me at all.

Be sure you know (unless there is a way to DIY set it up) you cannot use the same remote for multiple units. As I need 3 in my bedroom *one under each window and one near the door* they all need their own remote but being able to control them from bed is great.
They seem to vary from unit to unit on max volume and I swear one has a different accent than the other lol
The bluetooth feature is pretty cool but I just use the regular brown noise.
The batteries go in upside down so if yours doesn’t work just flip the battery over and try again. The tab to get the battery out is sketchy. One of these I almost had to break to open the compartment. Not sure how I feel about that. So yeah they aren’t the best quality but they work so far.

These are perfect for what we were using them for! They are doing a great job of masking sound coming out of our offices. Easy to use and get set up. I love that they have timers so it makes it easy to turn off at the end of the day. They are small and put off a decent amount of sound.

A nice device to have while traveling or use when grandbabies are at our home. When in off position, the device will turn back on again. We leave it unplugged until we need it. Good sound quality and plenty of choices for background noise.
