I work in a hospital with a population of immunocompromised individuals who get sick quite often. In turn, they tend to get staff sick as well. I have gotten sick so often that I am hyper aware of when I feel a cold coming and immediately work to prevent it. That being said, I initially got this tea for soothing purposes. I expected it to act more as a temporary relief from a sore throat, but in addition to doing that it completely got rid of whatever virus was getting me sick! I started drinking it along with the echinacea and cold season tea 1-2 times a day as soon as I felt a scratch in my throat with water only (they taste great brewed together) and my sore throat went away in 2 days without ever transpiring into a full blown cold, as it normally would have. I would highly recommend this tea and all of their teas, and I’ve stocked up on their other teas as well.

As a Singer, sometimes you have to push through a scratchy “frog” in your throat. THIS tea has been a staple in my routine before singing or speaking anywhere. And I pass them out the cast members because it coats your throat and warms up those vocal chords. It’s naturally sweet so you don’t need to add a thing but HOT water. I usually make a giant jug of this for a show and keep it back stage.

I drink this tea every morning mixed with another tea (green). I have trouble throughout the year with sore throats. The doctors say I have acid reflux but I am trying to control it with dietary changes. At least I’m in style, since the president was supposedly diagnosed too. I decided not to take the meds the doctor suggested for a while to see if I could handle it less aggressively for now and without side effects. The tea has helped my throat. It feels better immediately after drinking. This is not scientific. It could be something else helping my throat. But for now, I’ll keep drinking it and see. In winter, the hoarseness and raspiness, congestion, itchiness, need to clear throat gets worse generally, but has improved since lifestyle changes in the last few years. (I saw an ENT & RESPIRATORY SPECIALIST about this condition.) I was happy to find this tea and glad to have the pack of six. So I’m adding this to my regime. I will be ordering more. I like to combine excellent medical care with common sense, healthy living and natural healing methods.

Yogi Throat Comfort Tea tastes great and really soothes a scratchy throat. Just a heads-up: it contains licorice root, which can raise blood pressure, so sip with caution if you’re sensitive.

Fabulous product. I have had past throat surgery. When my voice becomes raspy or harsh, this product relives the symptoms. Also, I would recommend this product singers to use before a gig. Definitely a throat comforter as advertise.
